Yamato 1/48 VF-1S Roy Weathering comparisons

There had been three releases of the 1/48 VF-1S Roy Weathering Special thus far. First one was sold at Wonder Festival 2008 Winter in February, second was sold through Yamato online shop and released in April, and the third is a reissue that was also sold through Yamato online shop and released in December. I have the second release and received the third release a couple days back. Took some pics of both for comparison in this post.

The reissue release is on the left side of the pics and second release on the right. Reissue Roy weathering's sleeve is much glossier.

Side comparison.

Reissue's box is entirely black with no front flap or window while the second release used the same 1/48 VF-1S Roy box.

Reissue Roy weathering removed from box and compared with second release.

There are extra sheets of clear plastic wrapped around the Valkyrie itself but none for the second release.

Second release.

Reissue's manual and stickers.

Looks like the re-release has the missiles weathered as well.

The Valks are basically the same. Just the packaging is different.
