Suntory Final Fantasy VII potion with Trading Arts Mini - 8 cans - 980 yen each

Vol.3 of Suntory's Final Fantasy VII potions came out today. Got all 8 types from a nearby 7-11 in Sano at 980 yen each. Pricey but each potion comes with 1 of 8 trading figures and a beautiful packaging, too! I initially expected that the trading figures will be randomly-packed with each potion but thankfully they're not and I got the complete set out of the 8 potions I bought.

Based on the photo in this post, from top to bottom, left to right, the figures that come with each potion are as follows:

Hobby Complex 02 coverage

Hobby Complex is a new garage kit & flea market event organized by Art Storm/Fewture with the first event took place in Kobe and second event held on Sunday at Tokyo Big Sight, latter of which I attended. This pic was taken about 20 minutes before the 10am opening and the lines of people waiting outside of West Hall 2 wasn't as long as compared to the thousands that attended the Dengeki 15th anniversary event on Saturday.

Similar to World Hobby Festival (next one coming up on December 23rd at Tokyo Big Sight), Hobby Complex had dealers and garage kit circles, except for special guest appearances like Yuuko Miyamura (Asuka Langley's voice actress) and my favorite Kamen Rider creature designer and sculptor Yasushi Nirsawa, both attended the second Hobby Complex event for autograph sessions. I didn't know both were at the event until I got in. I was lining up to buy the Man Chrysalis and wondered why the line took so long to move until I saw Nirsawa-san signing items at front of the line! He was unbelievably friendly and down-to-earth for a person who drew and sculpted nightmarish creatures for a living. He was willing to sign any number of items brought to him at no charge, and even drew sketches for one of his fans that asked for sketches of four main Imagins from Kamen Rider Den-O! Not only did he sign my Man Chrysalis and Worm Works Gitai book, I got a photo with him, too!

I got Yuuko Miyamura's signature after I was informed by a friend at the event that she was there. I didn't notice her table there because I was in the garage kit area taking photos and her table was in the dealer area. Once I got the ticket for the noon autograph session, I frantically searched for a suitable Asuka figure for Miyamura-san to sign and finally found the perfect piece at one of the dealer tables. A Bandai Voice I-doll Superior Asuka Langley figure with a sculpt that I don't particularly like, but the fact that it comes with the original character voice and Miyamura-san's name on the packaging makes it a perfect candidate to get her signature on. Unlike Nirsawa-san's autograph session, I had to pay 3,000 yen for one signature.

Not a lot of the figures presented at the garage kit area that I liked except for a few that stood out in my mind like the Yotsuba & Fuka pair, Cerberus Project's Rider & Ignis, and this lovely lady here. One piece of the Shana Pinky is reserved for a friend while the extra piece will be up for bids.

Dengeki 15th Anniversary coverage

I attended the first day of the 2-day event celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Media Works publication company on Saturday. The event was supposed to start at 10am but was delayed for some reason and opened an hour late. Free entrance though so no complaints here.

Bandai, Animate, Good Smile Company, Takara Tomy, Kotobukiya, Volks, Cospa, and Griffon Enterprise were among the few companies that had booths at the event to exhibit their upcoming releases and sell goods. There was a separate line for Games Japan Festa 2007 held in the far side of the same hall but I didn't have much time to check out the event. Nothing much to see at the 15th anniversary event except for a few cool stuff like the 1/1 scale Char's custom Zaku II head, hundreds of Kasumi Yoshida figures, and the painted SIC Kamen Rider Agito & Machine Tornado (I want the set NOW!). Movie Realization EVA-01 looks great, too. Got one preordered and also getting the Cloud & bike set.

Banpresto Rider Mask Display Kamen Rider V3 The Next - 980 yen

Got the V3 The Next mask to add to my Rider Mask Display collection on Friday while checking out the stores in Nakano. A cheap bargain at the Robot Robot store for a mere 980 yen when the rest of the stores are selling it for 1,100-1,500 yen.

This is the 6th addition to Banpresto's Rider Mask Display series and I'll be getting the upcoming Den-O and Zeronos Altair Form masks despite how much I hate the damn Den-O show just so I can complete the collection. V3 The Next movie was a flaming bag of turd, too. Love the updated V3 suit design but that's about the only thing I like from the movie. The horror/action movie tried way too hard to be both 'scary' and 'action-packed' but failed miserably.

Tokyo Hunter moves to Sano

As frequent visitors to my blog might have noticed, there hadn't been any postings from 9-18 November not only because there wasn't any news on exclusive items to report, I was busy preparing for my November 10th move to my new apartment in Sano city, Tochigi prefecture.

The pic in this post is of my entire collection all packed in 26 boxes. Not a lot of stuff considering the fact that all toys and kits were put back in their original packagings and then packed in the boxes. I'll post pics of my collection at my old place and new collection pics when I get my internet connection up at my new apartment in 1-2 weeks' time. Currently posting from an internet cafe that's just less than 5 minutes away. The white boxes are from Art Corporation moving company that I used for the move. I highly recommend them to anyone living in Japan and plan on moving.

There will be a long list of items including tons of exclusives and stuff from my own collection to auction off on eBay once I get my internet connection up. I'll be letting off stuff from my collection for cheap while the exclusive items will be listed with the usual cost price starting bids so everyone will have a chance to bid and try their luck! ;) Check back in December for my eBay auctions!

Finally got the Crystal Cloth figure in yesterday from Figure Oh. It should have arrived last week but since it was shipped to my old apartment that I had just moved out of, the post office finally called me after about four days since they left the note at my old place stating that the package had arrived. I currently don't have any other info on the item including the retail price other than it's a Figure Oh magazine mail order exclusive. The paper where I wrote the info on is probably in one of the moving boxes at my new apartment.
