Good Smile Company Blogger Invitational coverage

On May 19, Good Smile Company ran a small invite-only exhibition especially for bloggers in Japan to take close up shots of upcoming figures from Good Smile Company, Max Factory, and Phat Company. This was the first time GSC invited the general blogging public to preview upcoming products at their office, and thanks to the fine folks at Tomopop for the advance notice on the event, I was lucky enough to secure an invitation to the exhibition! Click on the title post to read more.

The exhibition took place in a small office floor owned by Phat Company. Place looks to have been converted from a preschool floor into a meeting area. There were some preschool toys and building blocks in their glass display cabinets.

Attendees each got a GSC mascot keychain and sticker, and a 2,000 yen voucher for food and drinks at Indotei run by Max Factory. Big thanks to GSC for the free lunch! ^^

Due out this October is GoodSmile's incredibly popular PVC figure of Hitagi Senjougahara from Bakemonogatari. Retails for 9,800 yen. Fine sculpt as one would come to expect from GSC.

Where the heck does she hide all those stationary?! I'll have to start watching the anime someday...

She'll come with interchangeable parts for an alternate display. I personally like the default display though.

One of my favorite piece second only to Dead Master, this anime version of Black Rock Shooter has some truly stunning detail.

No price or release date announced thus far. Can't wait to get my hands on one! Gonna dedicate a row of shelf space for the BRS series of figures.

I was floored when I saw an unpainted sculpt of the Dead Master at WF2010 Winter. Imagine how thrilled I was to be one of the first to see a painted sample in person before it was shown anywhere else!

Not only did I get to see it close up, I also got to touch the figure! ^^

Actually, attendees were only allowed to touch it by turning it around and taking pictures of the back though.

Price and release date TBA for this one as well. I couldn't get any details out from one of the staff when I asked him for the estimated price and release date. Guess they'll probably announce details at WF2010 Summer.

Kawaii Nendoroid of Touko Amano from Bungaku Shoujo. Due out this October and retails at the usual 3,500 yen Nendoroid price.

Nendoroid Ciel Phantomhive. September release retailing for 3,500 yen.

Third set of the Nendoroid Petit Bakemonogatari already?! That was fast! The show must be real popular!

Nendoroid Petit Lucky Star x Street Fighter set. Hope they do more sets for this collaboration work. I'd like to see a cosplay version of Akuma next!

figma Yuu Kawamura. She's a cutie. But I much prefer figma Aya morning coffee ver. from the series. ^^

Max Factory's figma Sakuya Izayoi. I'm currently taking preorders for this item. Please contact me for details.

Kureha, Clalaclan, and Seena in revealing swimsuits. Mmmm ... can't get any better than that! Tony's girls are hawt!

What's this inside the glass display cabinet?! An ultra-rare special edition leek Miku Nendoroid?! No, this is not for sale and never officially produced by GSC. It was actually a custom repaint by a fan as a gift to GSC quite some time ago.

Once again I'd like to thank GSC for the invitation to the exhibition, and Tomopop for the heads up on the event. Click here for the complete list of links to Tomopop's posts covering the exhibition. Go here to view the rest of my photos.

Ah! I missed taking photos of that one. Thanks for the link! Yeah, that's the anime ver. alright. They only showed a small selection of items at the exhibition and I took pics of all them. Was hoping to see more though.
